Angel Gambino, Automotive Panel Tout Entrepreneurship and Smart Mobility as Key to Growing Global Footprint and Innovation

Building on its world-class automotive talent and entrepreneurial legacy, industry and government leaders should better align creative innovation with policies and infrastructure to maintain Michigan’s position as a leader in smart mobility.

Angel Gambino, owner of The Alchemy, delivered that message during her keynote remarks in the session “Innovative Entrepreneurial Nexus of the Automotive Industry,” sponsored by PwC. Gambino urged Michigan automotive industry leaders to create a comprehensive smart mobility ecosystem and develop projects that astound and attract investors from around the world.

Following her remarks, Gambino was joined onstage by a panel that included Sheryl Connelly, global consumer trends and futuring manager at Ford Motor Company; Mike Finney, president and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; and Rick Warner, CEO of TruckSmartParkingServices, Inc. The discussion was moderated by the Chamber’s Sandy Baruah.

Panelists discussed the importance of enhancing the entrepreneurial environment in the region and state to attract investment and talent, and strengthen the transition of intelligent vehicles from concept to consumers.
