Brown & Brown of Detroit Teammates Support Charities

Todd Piersol, Executive Vice President, is proud to announce that Brown & Brown of Detroit teammates raised $1,768.00 for the Alex M. Mackmin Memorial Fund during the office’s fourth quarter Blue Jean Day fundraiser. Every Friday, the office’s 60+ employees have the option of wearing blue jeans to work, in exchange for a $5 donation to the non-profit of the quarter.

The Alex M. Mackmin Memorial Fund is a permanent endowment at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. Grants from the fund are used to assist families who have lost children. The fund also supports youth athletics in southeast Michigan.

For the first quarter of 2017, Brown & Brown of Detroit has chosen to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Troy. For nearly four decades, the Club has provided a safe and positive place for young people in the tri-county area of metro Detroit. This wonderful organization strives to give local youth a platform which allows them to develop into self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of the community.

Brown & Brown of Detroit is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance, the sixth largest insurance intermediary in the United States. Located in Sterling Heights, this office is the largest independent insurance agency in Macomb County.
