The Detroit Regional Economic Partnership is a public and private sector effort representing the 10 counties of southeast Michigan and the city of Detroit, along with 100 private-sector investors. The partnership began in May 1996, when the Detroit Regional Chamber was charged with creating a regional approach to economic development in southeast Michigan.
