Individuals with degrees are increasingly sophisticated consumers: they want to live and work in diverse, unique environments with a high standard of living. Detroit Drives Degrees partners with businesses, young professional groups, internship programs, regional place-making organizations, higher education, government and workforce development organizations to emphasize Southeast Michigan’s many assets. By highlighting the benefits of working, living, playing, studying, giving and leading in the region, Detroit Drives Degrees aims to inform recent graduates and other mobile talent. The ultimate goal is to make the region a talent destination where businesses are able to attract and retain needed talent.

Projects: D3 and partners are collaborating on a project to highlight the many regional talent retention & placemaking initiatives already occurring. This resource will provide a comprehensive overview with personalized stories for talent considering a career in Southeast Michigan.
