Detroit Regional Chamber, Macomb County Honored for Collaborative Automotive Awareness Project

The Council for Community and Economic Research recently named the Detroit Regional Chamber and the Macomb County Department Planning and Economic Development among its prestigious research award recipients. The award honors the Chamber and Macomb’s work on the Michigan Is AutoMobility report and AutoMobility Assets Map. The award recognizes meritorious projects and promotes the diffusion of creative ideas for research activities among local, regional and economic development initiatives.

“Our mapping services group takes full advantage of technology to assemble story maps that help to illustrate important information about any number of subjects,” said John Paul Rea, Director of the Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development. “We were pleased to assist the Chamber to assemble up-to-date information about Michigan’s automotive industry,”
