Detroit Promise Scholar Resources
On this page Scholars will find the handbook, online orientation, and the link to the terms & conditions and the Authorization to Release forms. It is imperative that Scholars familiarize themselves with all of the paperwork and policies found herein. If there are questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Authorization to Release and Terms & Conditions
The Detroit Promise must be able to track the progress and eligibility of its Scholars, in addition to the regional impact. This cannot be done without Scholars formally indicating consent to allow their school to exchange information with the Detroit Promise. Failure to sign the appropriate form will render a student ineligible for funding.
By signing these form, Scholars give their school permission to share their relevant information with the Detroit Promise, including but not limited to: academic, registration and contact records.

Detroit Promise Online Orientation
The following is a presentation outlining the policies and procedures for the Detroit Promise. After you have reviewed the presentation click here to take the exam. This exam is mandatory if you did not attend the Summer Ceremony. You must score 80% or higher on this exam to pass.
Detroit Promise Appeal Form
If a Scholar needs to register for less than 12 credits per semester, needs to take a semester off from classes, or wants to take summer courses, an appeal must be submitted to the Detroit Promise before the beginning of the semester. Select the appropriate appeal, below:
