• With more than 13,000 health-care related businesses and approximately 366,351 jobs in the region, the health care industry in Detroit has an overall economic impact of $38 billion annually.

• Michigan ranks 2nd in the U.S. in aerospace job growth between 2009-2012.

• Detroit remains one of the fastest growing regions for technology jobs in the country.

• Michigan ranks in the top 10 for states where patents are granted, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office made Detroit the home of its first satellite office.
