Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Reappoints Chamber President to Detroit Branch Board

Following a four-month appointment to the board of directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Detroit branch, Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO Sandy Baruah was recently reappointed to serve an additional three-year term that started Jan. 1. Additional appointments included Chamber Board member Wright Lassiter III (Henry Ford Health System) and former Board Chair Sandra Pierce (Huntington Bank). Jeffrey Brown of Chamber company Ally Financial was appointed to serve a one-year term as the federal advisory council representative for the seventh federal reserve district. Joseph Anderson Jr. (TAG Holdings LLC) and Michael Seneski (J&M Management Solutions) were also reappointed to the board.

As a board director, Baruah contributes to the formulation of national monetary policy, provides economic information to help inform the Board of Governors in Washington, and acts as a link between the Federal Reserve and the private sector.
