About Us

Detroit Regional Chamber logo

It's simple -- the Detroit Regional Chamber is made up of member companies who make a volunteer annual investment in order to receive an even greater return at the end of the year. Currently, more than 20,000 businesses across the region have decided to make an investment to help develop their company.

We have a vision of creating a region with:

  • An unparalleled quality of life.
  • An efficient, seamless mass transportation system.
  • A unified pursuit for economic development.
  • An educational system that is second to none.
  • An unquestionable identity as a vibrant technology hub.
  • A fertile ground for entrepreneurs.
  • A business community that embraces diversity as a business imperative.

Our five-part strategic plan is the framework to fully achieve the vision we all share for our region.

  • Creating strategic and diverse partnerships and alliances - a broader, more inclusive membership base representing our region's rich diversity.
  • Leveraging our size and influence to create powerful change - to speak to the business community with a strong, unified voice on issues of importance.
  • Acting regionally and thinking globally - an economic development process that positions the Detroit region as the place to do business.
  • Engaging customers - quality service to our members.
  • Creating a work environment recognized by internal and external customers as the place to work - a "best-and-brightest" staff fully dedicated to meeting our members' highest expectations.

By accomplishing these goals, we hope to offer a path to success for the business community in southeast Michigan.
