AJAC

Automotive employment is critical to the United States economy. Every state in the nation employs workers in the automotive industry. We formed AJAC in an effort to protect automotive jobs in the United States and to raise awareness among policy makers about the real costs associated with extreme increases in Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards.

AJAC supports legislation that:

  • Preserves automotive jobs in the U.S.
  • Promotes reasonable standards for fuel economy
  • Expands new fuel efficient technologies through R & D
  • Considers the economic impact of compliance costs for manufacturers
  • Provides automakers flexibility to meet higher fuel economy standards, without sacrificing cost, consumer choice and safety
  • Rewards automakers for producing vehicles that run on alternative fuels

Please join our coalition to protect automotive manufacturing jobs in the U.S. and to promote reasonable increases in CAFE standards. Membership in AJAC is free and it is our goal to make your participation as easy as possible.
