James Ward, Jr.

President, Greenacres Woodward Community Radio Patrol

James Ward Jr. is president of the Greenacres Woodward Community Radio Patrol. A graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md., Ward served in the U.S. Army Adjutant General’s Corp., where he rose to the rank of captain before being honorably discharged. Ward worked for Ford Motor Co. for more than 25 years before retiring as human resource manager in 1998. He also previously served as production manager for the songwriting and production team of Holland-Dozier-Holland.

In addition to serving on the Greenacres Woodward Community Radio Patrol, Ward is a member of Freedom Fellowship Church, where he serves as trustee and co-chair of family ministry. He is a past chair of the Greenacres Woodward Civic Association’s Board of Directors and Detroit Police Academy graduate. He is a founding member of the planning committee for I.C.A.R.E. (Inter-County Citizens Achieving Regional Excellence).
