The Mackinac Policy Conference partnered with the Launch Michigan initiative to raise awareness on the critical need for high-quality, student-centered public education. Michigan’s educational challenges are a collective issue that government, business, and educational partners need to work together to address.

To support Michigan’s teachers, the Conference raised funds for their classrooms in some of the most underserved school districts via, a crowdfunding platform that allows Michigan teachers to create projects and request classroom resources. The Donors Choose initiative raised $240,000 to fund projects for an estimated 400 projects at schools with more than 75% of students from low-income households.
