Alexandra Papasifakis recently joined the Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms.

“Alex continues to grow professionally since she first joined the firm two years ago as a Summer Associate in our group,” said Douglas C. Bernstein, the firm’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group Leader. “Alex is a talented attorney who understands how to manage assignments quickly and efficiently while working to protect her clients’ interests.”

An attorney in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Papasifakis represents financial institutions in the areas of loan workouts and foreclosures, commercial real estate, loan documentation and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the firm, Papasifakis was a member of Plunkett Cooney’s 2010 Summer Associate Class, worked as a summer clerk to the Honorable Marianne O. Battani in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and interned as a clerk for Judge Helene N. White of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Papasifakis is member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County and Women’s bar associations and the DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar and she is licensed to practice in Michigan’s state and federal courts.

A graduate of Wayne State University Law School, Papasifakis served as an Assistant Editor, Executive Note & Comment Editor and Member of the Editorial Board of The Wayne Law Review. She was also awarded an Honors Pass for legal research and writing. Papasifakis received her undergraduate degree from Albion College.

The members of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group have represented banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, credit unions and finance companies for over 25 years. Members of the group have nearly 150 years of combined experience as in-house bank counsel prior to joining the firm.
