Andrew MacLeod is a Member in the firm’s Detroit office. He focuses his practice on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, corporate law and taxation. He is counsel to private equity firms in the acquisition, divestiture and financing of portfolio companies and also serves as outside general counsel to portfolio companies in relation to their ongoing legal affairs and “add-on” acquisitions. He also serves as counsel to various publicly and privately owned companies in numerous merger and acquisition transactions, including LBO’s, MBO’s, recapitalization and divestiture transactions.

Mr. MacLeod is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Metropolitan Detroit Bar Association. Before being named President, he served as Co-Chair of the Programming Committee for ACG Detroit. Butzel Long President and CEO Justin G. Klimko featured during ACG Detroit June 7 program

DETROIT, Mich. – Justin G. Klimko, President and CEO, Butzel Long, is among seven business leaders who will be featuring during a program presented by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Detroit on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The title for the program is, “Navigating Cross-Border Transactions.” The discussion will focus on the legal, business, banking and accounting issues that arise in cross-border deals.

Klimko, based in the firm’s Detroit office, has extensive experience in securities regulation, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate matters, areas in which he has practiced since 1980. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for business law matters and is ranked as one of Michigan’s leading corporate and M&A lawyers. He also has chaired the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section’s Ad Hoc Committee on Legal Opinions, which has issued reports to address opinion issues in business transactions, including issues specific to Michigan law.
