Robert Michalak, Promoted to SVP Business Development, Venteon Holdings LLC

Troy based Venteon Venteon is pleased to announce that Bob Michalak has been promoted to Senior Vice President – Business Development at Venteon. In his new position Bob will be responsible for working with clients on Business Development activities.

Venteon is a professional services search, staffing, and consulting firm with three primary divisions: Venteon Finance, Venteon Technical, and Venteon Partners. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Michalak spent 14 years building Venteon Finance’s Search Practice, where he was responsible for overseeing the direct placement of all accounting, finance, tax, and treasury professionals. This included all new business development, candidate recruiting, staff development, training, and existing account management. In addition to the above responsibilities, Mr. Michalak was responsible for running an active desk and has been Venteon’s top producer since joining the organization.

Mr. Michalak began his career in accounting, working for Plante & Moran, one of the largest regional public accounting firms in the country, where he earned his CPA. After four years in public accounting, Mr. Michalak spent four years at a national recruiting firm, where he earned “Rookie of the Year” honors and was the top producer two years in a row. Mr. Michalak then left recruiting to take on a business development role with Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and strategic advisor. Upon leaving Marsh he joined Venteon.

Mr. Michalak received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Oakland University, which he attended on a baseball scholarship. Mr. Michalak is a Certified Public Accountant.

IPS Technology Services Wins New Application Development Contract for Veteran-Owned Business

Troy – June 22, 2013 –IPS Technology Services recently won a new application development contract for a veteran owned business in metro Detroit.

The client, who provides staffing solutions in the areas of administrative and light industrial work, is now branching out to do background check to expand their portfolio of service and thus trying to become a “one stop shop” for all of their clients’ hiring needs. In order to process background checks efficiently, the client turned to IPS Technology Services to help them streamline their candidate screening and reporting processes.

Under this contract, IPS will develop a web-based enterprise application to help the client keep track of their background check procedure. Once screened by the recruiters, the candidate for background check will provide required information to be processed. The background check clerk will be notified by the application for further actions. Once the background check is complete, results will be posted and can be viewed by the candidate or the HR department on the web. The application will also collect fees and generate an adequate number of reports to keep track of all requests—speeding along the entire decision-making process.

IPS Technology Services Hires Java and SQL Developers to Work for Two Large Clients

TROY– April 2, 2013 –IPS Technology Services recently hired two IT professionals to work for two of their largest clients.

The first hire is a senior level Java/J2EE Developer for a large Auto-Insurance Company in SE Michigan. This developer is experienced in developing and customizing source code at the front and mid-level to implement complex business logic and produce customized reports based on client requirements. IPS is in the process of trying to find out more Java/J2EE developers for other clients’ needs.

The second hire is a senior Microsoft certified SQL Server Developer for a large healthcare insurance company. In addition to developing code, this SQL Server Developer will also work in a team environment to develop test strategies and provide resource estimation, consult, and actually conduct tests for the project teams. He will also be working with other business and technical resources to analyze problems encountered in testing and determining changes required to correct those problems.

Crestmark Closes Five Transactions in the First Two Weeks of January Totaling more than $4.5 Million

TROY, MICHIGAN (January 15, 2013) – A total of $4,550,000 in financial solutions were secured for five new Crestmark clients during the first two weeks of January.

  • On January 4, a $350,000 accounts receivable ledgered line of credit facility was provided for a distributor of baby products. The Florida-based company distributes to large retail chain stores.
  • A $2,500,000 accounts receivable purchase facility was provided to a Tennessee trucking company on January 7. The company has been in business for more than four years, has over 150 employees and hauls parcels across the country. Funding will be used for amortization and to improve customer service.
  • On January 8, a Virginia-based start up staffing company specializing in middle management was provided a $200,000 ledgered line of credit facility with advances on accounts receivable. Funding will be used for working capital.
  • A $500,000 accounts receivable facility was provided January 9 to an Illinois interstate trucking company that hauls automobiles across the country. Funding will be used for amortization and working capital.
  • On January 11, Crestmark provided a $1,000,000 ledgered line of credit facility for a Maine-based IT staffing company that consults in industries ranging from engineering, manufacturing, automotive, government, software development and more. Funding will be used for amortization and working capital.
