Business, Health and Legal Experts to Discuss the Opioid Crisis on Michigan’s Center Stage

Employers across Michigan are growing increasingly concerned about the effects of opioid prescription drug misuse among employees. On Wednesday, May 30, Penske Corp.’s Bud Denker, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s Dan Loepp, Gallagher Benefit Service’s Jenny Love, and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade will participate in the Opioids in the Workplace: Impacting Michigan panel.

Panelists will discuss policies and programs that could potentially mitigate the effect of prescription drug misuse, which can lead to substance abuse among other opioids such as heroin. They will also explore the role businesses can play to further reduce the state’s opioid epidemic and create a healthier workforce.
