vickie thomasVickie Thomas is the city beat reporter for WWJ Newsradio 950, a CBS-owned station. Joining the station in 1991, Thomas has earned awards from the Detroit Press Foundation, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the Michigan Associated Press and the National Association of Black Journalists.

She was elected to serve as the Region IV director of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in August 2013. She served two terms as president of the Detroit chapter of NABJ for two terms, from 2010 to 2013.

Thomas has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Wayne State University.
