As the season turns to fall, Southeast Michigan remains a hot jobs spot for new college grads

This past summer, University of Michigan-Dearborn iLabs, in partnership with the Detroit Regional Chamber, issued the results of a survey, finding that college graduates are more likely to stay in Michigan than a similar population examined in 2007. In fact, 63 percent of the 7,000+ respondents said they were still in Michigan, up 12 points from the prior study.

Roughly 85 percent of alumni who left the state explained that their primary reason for doing so was for jobs….
