Debt Forgiveness Programs Coming To Three Major Colleges In Metro Detroit

Nearly 700,000 metro Detroiters started college classes, but didn’t finish because of debt and other circumstances. Now, Wayne State University, Oakland University and Henry Ford College have agreed to forgive part of any outstanding debt if they come back to finish school.

We’re honored that the renowned anchor Ted Koppel has been added to the 2022 Mackinac Policy Conference agenda!

As the longest standing news anchor in U.S. broadcast history, Koppel has hosted more than 6,000 Nightline broadcasts and has over 43 Emmys, including one for lifetime achievement.

Koppel will discuss his most recent book, a New York Times bestseller, "Lights Out," which examines the threat of a cyber-catastrophe, and the future of electric grids. He will also discuss cyber vulnerability as it pertains to the conflict in Ukraine, and how it could affect the U.S.
