Advice for Celebrating Easter Safely as COVID-19 Cases in Michigan Surge

DETROIT – Easter is the first major holiday people will be celebrating where some of their family and friends may be fully vaccinated.

But that doesn’t mean this holiday will be back to business as usual. So how can you celebrate safely?

Under the current CDC guidelines, people who are fully vaccinated can gather indoors with other vaccinated people without masks and share a meal.

Vaccinated people can also gather with people from another household who haven’t been vaccinated as long as no one in that household is at risk of getting seriously ill from COVID. Experts caution that it’s best to keep your gatherings small for now.

If you are going to be around more than one other household that is not vaccinated, experts said you should practice social distancing and wear a mask.
