Ambassador John Rakolta Jr. and Wayne State University Board of Governors Member Shirley Stancato served as Chairs for the 2024 Detroit Policy Conference. The event focused on initiatives and policy prescriptions needed to grow the state and Region’s population and making it an attractive destination for talent and business development.
The Detroit Policy Conference brings together upwards of 800 business, civic, and government leaders to explore critical issues related to the continued economic progress throughout the city and region.
Since the inaugural event in 2012, the Conference has focused on increasing the dialogue between urban and suburban decision-makers to encourage collaborative efforts to grow business, improve outcomes for the regional community, and shape Detroit’s future.
