Auto Show Perfect Platform to Showcase Industry’s Resurgence to Global Investors

The 2016 North American International Auto Show offered the perfect backdrop for the Detroit Regional Chamber to show the economic resurgence of Detroit to a global business audience. In addition to the automotive industry, the state and region’s assets were on display during a week of events hosted by the Chamber.

Among this year’s highlights include:

  • Leading a tour of the NAIAS showroom floor with the Michigan Legislature’s Automotive Caucus, and hosting a reception with MICHauto investors.
  • Framing the auto industry and the Detroit region’s comeback for over a dozen local and national media, including: CCTV America, The Detroit News and WJR 760.
  • Building on MICHauto’s #MichiganIsAuto social media campaign to increase awareness about the auto industry, including a billboard on I-94 near Detroit Metro Airport.
  • Hosting senior members of the U.S. Army Materiel Command, TACOM and TARDEC for a tour of the NAIAS showroom floor to highlight the economic impact of the defense industry in Southeast Michigan.
