Chamber and MEDC Partner with Detroit Three on Largest Matchmaking Summit

The Detroit Regional Chamber partnered with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) program to host the Detroit Three Matchmaking Summit on July 22 at COBO Center in Detroit. Major purchasers at the summit included Chrysler Group, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and 42 of their Tier 1 suppliers. There were over 1,000 attendees who participated in over 800 targeted face-to-face meetings throughout the day. The largest PMBC matchmaking summit yet, Michigan companies such as the Detroit Three and their Tier 1s continue to bring more Michigan businesses into their supply chain.

At the summit, eight InnoState members displayed products demonstrating the high margin, low volume model of successful 21st century manufacturers. This is the first time suppliers have had the opportunity to exhibit at a PMBC matchmaking summit.

The MEDC is a partner and funder of the InnoState program, a 3-year project that helps innovative Southeast Michigan manufacturers win more orders and launch new products for more customers. To learn more about InnoState, click here.
