$42.5M in Youth Apprenticeship Grants Available
April 15, 2020The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is currently taking applications to fund new and existing Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs). Approximately 15 to 25 programs will receive grants ranging from $1 million to $5 million from the total $42.5 million available.
The funds will go to youth apprenticeship programs that will partner with business and industry to develop new or existing RAPs. The grants aim to:
- Strengthen the youth talent pipeline with access to apprenticeships
- Give more access to nontraditional occupations or expanded apprenticeship programs
- Support training for thousands of underrepresented youth
With the limited number of grants available, it’s important for Michigan to ensure this federal funding to help develop its talent pipeline. Learn more about the requirements and view the application.
