Detroit Aviation Hyped at Aerospace Innovation Forum

Along with Pure Michigan Business Connect, the Chamber’s Business Attraction team continued to advance the Detroit region as an aviation cluster at the Aerospace Innovation Forum in Montreal, Quebec from December 2-4.

As the nation’s second-ranked state in aerospace job growth from 2009-2012, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in attendance were interested in exploring Michigan’s resources for designing, manufacturing and operating aerospace products. The Business Attraction team was also able to continue talks with companies it interacted with at the Aeromart Montreal show in April.

The forum featured several workshops, some of which pertained to doing business with the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), trends in aerospace systems, and the challenges and opportunities of advanced automation. To read more about Detroit’s core industry clusters, click here.
