Detroit Bankruptcy Architects Kevyn Orr, Judge Steven Rhodes Lead Panel on City’s Challenges, Opportunities

As Detroit’s leaders guide the city’s ongoing transformation, the architects of Detroit’s historic exit from bankruptcy will take Michigan’s Center Stage at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference at the historic Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island May 26-29.

Panelists include:

  • Kevyn Orr, Former Emergency Manager, City of Detroit
  • Steven Rhodes, Judge (retired), U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division
  • Gerald Rosen, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan
  • Darren Walker, President, Ford Foundation

The panel, moderated by Mariam Noland, president of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, will share insight on the economic opportunities and challenges for the Detroit region in the post-bankruptcy era.

This year’s Conference will drive a statewide dialogue on talent, urban revitalization and cohesion, three key catalysts necessary to ensure Michigan’s dynamic and geometric economic growth. The annual, four-day Conference is the Chamber’s signature event, convening over 1,500 business, community and government leaders to discuss and shape statewide policy.

Register today to be part of the state’s premier public policy event.
