Doris Kearns Goodwin to give keynote address at Mackinac Policy Conference

Doris Kearns Goodwin, the presidential historian, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and former presidential adviser, will deliver a keynote address at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference, scheduled for May 26-29 on Mackinac Island.

Goodwin will share her expertise on the composition of effective leaders.

She is the author of six critically acclaimed and New York Times best-selling books, including Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.

Goodwin also won the Pulitzer Prize in history for No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II.

She also served as an assistant to President Lyndon Johnson in his last year in the White House, and later assisted him in the preparation of his memoirs
