Duggan Among Chamber-endorsed Candidates Advancing to November Election

The Detroit Regional Chamber’s Political Action Committee (PAC) posted a near perfect record this week as Chamber-endorsed candidates for mayor and city council, including Mike Duggan, cruised to victory in the primary election.

“We’re committed to bringing the best possible candidate field to the general election ballot and (Tuesday’s) results were a big step in making that happen,” said Terence Thomas, chairman, Chamber PAC Board. “The Chamber PAC Board endorsed candidates who share our commitment to Detroit’s turnaround and who can lead the city as it navigates bankruptcy and moves into a new era.”
In addition to Duggan, the Chamber’s PAC endorsed city council candidates who advanced including:

  • District 1: James Tate (Incumbent)
  • District 2: Rick Bowers
  • District 3: Scott Benson
  • District 4: Andre Spivey (Incumbent)
  • District 5: Adam Hollier
  • At-Large: Saunteel Jenkins (Incumbent)

The Chamber also endorsed Vince Keenan who finished third in District 6. The Chamber applauds his dedicated campaign and commitment to moving Detroit forward. To support the Chamber’s PAC as it works to support pro-growth candidates, please click here.
