Vocational training institutes provide specific or technical training to students in order to prepare them for a particular career. There are more than 60 vocational training providers in the region, a few are provided below. They provide training from construction to casino dealer training to advanced manufacturing.
Skilled Trades and Apprenticeships
Michigan is strongly promoting skilled-trades apprenticeship in advancing technology to provide talents for businesses. The Detroit region is contributing to bridge education and employment to correspond the increasing demands of high-tech skilled workers. In health care, information technology, energy and advanced manufacturing, Detroit region provides unique, flexible and diverse apprenticeship programs. The government announced the “Marshall Plan for Talent,” continued investing over $15 million in human capital, cooperated with local academies and non-profit organizations, building the economic future and competitiveness of the Detroit region.
