Oakland County Michigan Works! and the Society of Human Resources Management Foundation are partnering to offer employers the opportunity to develop a registered apprenticeship program for human resources professionals.

The apprenticeship focuses on eight behavioral competencies and 15 knowledge areas. Upon successful completion, apprentices are ready to take the SHRM-CP certification exam.

During the meeting, we’ll share:

• Details on the Foundation’s new competency-based HR registered apprenticeship program and how it develops human resource management skills
• How registered apprenticeships play a key role in meeting DE&I goals
• The process for accessing funding from Oakland County Michigan Works! to offset the cost of apprentice wages and supportive services, as needed funded by the U.S. Department of Labor
