Frank Ervin

Director, Government Affairs, Magna International

ervin_Frank-croppedFrank W. Ervin III was promoted to director, government affairs in January of 2012. He was appointed as manager, government affairs for Magna International in April of 2009. He is responsible for managing all federal, state and local legislative affairs and activities for Magna International in the USA. Ervin works with all business units of Magna International on matters involving and needing legislative relations assistance. Ervin is also responsible for building and maintaining positive company relations with members of congress, state and local legislators, officials and their staffs to help create a positive leadership image and business climate for Magna International, Inc.

Prior to joining Magna Ervin spent more than 30 years in various positions in the automotive supply industry that entails the realm of government relations. Ervin also has extensive experience in building a global business structure in the U.S. and other countries such as Mexico, Japan, South America, Europe and Asia involving a variety of customers including the major automobile manufacturers worldwide and Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 manufacturers worldwide.

Ervin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in international business. Ervin is also a U.S. Navy and Vietnam veteran.
