GM’s Dan Ammann to Discuss the Future of Mobility During Keynote Address

Dan AmmannGeneral Motors President, Dan Ammann will deliver a keynote address on Wednesday, June 1 at the 2016 Mackinac Policy Conference, discussing the future of mobility and the role ride-sharing startups such as Lyft have on the automotive industry.

Ammann’s keynote will relate to the 2016 Conference pillar of investing in the future, which aims to grow high-profile business sectors including automotive, advanced manufacturing, defense and IT; to ensure future investment and jobs in Michigan.

As president, Ammann is responsible for overseeing GM’s operations around the world, in addition to the global Chevrolet and Cadillac brands, global product planning, new business development and GM Financial. Ammann also sits on the board of Lyft Inc. and is a certified industry pool test driver at the Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack in Germany.

Prior to being named president, he led a transformation of GM’s finance operations into a world-class organization and also led the strategy to rebuild the company’s captive finance capability through the successful establishment and growth of GM Financial.
