Inaugural 2013 Michigan Automotive Summit to Showcase State’s Leading Industry

The Detroit Regional Chamber’s MICHauto program is proud to host a first of its kind event focused on Michigan’s commitment to the automotive industry and the opportunities that exist to grow the sector in the 21st century. The 2013 Michigan Automotive Summit will feature an action-packed agenda with high level speakers from industry, academia and government on Wednesday, September 25 at COBO Center. The Center for Automotive Research’s President and CEO Jay Baron will keynote one of the Summit sessions and highlight the economic impact of the automotive industry in Michigan, industry trends and the opportunities that exist in the state to capitalize on these trends.

During the 2013 Summit, MICHauto is also collaborating with the Inforum Center for Leadership to bring attendees the exclusive opportunity to participate in the release of its 2013 Michigan Women’s Leadership Index featuring General Motors Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson. Akerson will discuss talent and how he’s harnessing the power of a focused, motivated employee base to drive change throughout the company.
