Megan Spanitz, Chamber’s Vice President of Resource Development and Marketing, Named to Crain’s ’40 Under 40′

Megan Spanitz, vice president of resource development and marketing for the Detroit Regional Chamber, has been named one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2015 “40 Under 40” honorees. The publication annually recognizes Southeast Michigan’s best and brightest leaders based on factors such as financial and community impact.

Spanitz’s responsibilities include leading the Chamber’s marketing and communications strategy as well as development related to membership, foundation investment and sponsorship. She highlighted her role in growing sponsorship for the Mackinac Policy Conference as her greatest achievement.

She’s credited with developing new, innovative ways for companies to leverage the Conference to raise awareness of their brand. Through sponsorship, the Chamber has been able to grow the quality and content of the Conference as well. The attendee experience has been enhanced through technology upgrades and improved audio visual elements. But more importantly, sponsorship provides resources to recruit high-profile, thought provoking national speakers. View the full “40 Under 40” lineup here.
