Delta Network Services Creates NEW OCC Scholarship for IT Students

A new college scholarship, given by Delta Network Services, has been established to support OCC students looking to surpass their educational goals. The Delta Scholarship encourages success, provides financial assistance and fosters scholastic achievement to students in the field of computer information systems.

The new scholarship provides four $2,500 awards for students in Computer Information Systems (CIS) degree programs, a field in high demand according to PayScale’s 2017-18 College Salary Report. OCC currently has four CIS programs: Business Systems Analysis, Cybersecurity, Information Technology Support and Software Engineering.

“Delta has long been among our most generous donors,” said Dan Jenuwine, executive director of the Oakland Community College Foundation. “This scholarship is a new way to help and encourage students preparing for high-demand fields and we are grateful for their support.”
