Detroit IT to Implement Digium Switchvox in Local School District

Over the past 5 years, the company has taken on many projects of all sizes, but has recently taken on a comprehensive VOIP project for a local Detroit Preparatory Academy District.

The district, consisting of seven schools and a central management office, expressed their need to unify several different phone systems that each location utilized. Across the district they have a total of 350 hand-sets used by their employees on a daily basis. They were looking to converge a few systems including 3Com, Windstream, Mitel as well as others, into one VOIP solution that could be easily managed by their IT department. The IT team needed to be able to manage the system remotely from the web and allow users to transfer calls back and forth between schools, without the burden of dialing a 10 digit number out

Detroit IT Welcomes New Client Engagement Manager

Management Team Expanding to Better Support Growth in Employees and Clientele

Troy, Mich., June 2nd, 2015 – Detroit IT, an IT Solutions Partner for various industries throughout Metro Detroit, is excited to announce that Marco D’Aristotile has joined their team as the new Client Engagement Manager.

D’Aristotile is formerly a three year veteran and Lead Consultant/Delivery Engineer at Vision Computer Solutions, where he was the first employee to become Sonicwall Certified, deploy Star2Star phone systems, and setup a custom cloud desktop environment through Independence IT’s Cloud Workspace solution.

He has decided to make a career change to direct his focus on client engagement, project management, and process improvement. Utilizing his 16 years of IT industry experience and previous leadership skills, Marco will be guiding the formulation of new solutions to better accommodate clients’ needs at Detroit IT.

Marco D’Aristotile is a graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. He began his career at EDS as an intern on the Infrastructure/IT Team later transferring to their Virtual Reality Center department. He has been an IT coordinator for advertising firms and has held technician roles at other IT companies specializing in Mac and PC platforms. His multi-pronged technical skills in combination with his various Microsoft, ITIL, Sonicwall, and Apple Certifications make him an industry expert.

Marco comes from a large Italian family, which has encouraged him to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Federazione Abruzzese del Michigan, a local Italian-American cultural organization, at one point handling all graphic design and website responsibilities. His involvement has contributed to his success in building long lasting relationships with his clients and throughout the community.
