Walsh Master of Science in Information Technology Ranked One of Best in Nation

TROY, Mich., June 12, 2020 — Walsh has ranked no. 2 on the list of Top 20 Master’s in Information Technology programs by CyberSecurityMastersDegree.org. Schools were ranked based on course offerings, small faculty to student ratio, resources, overall value, student reviews and third-party recognition.

Its information technology degrees align with Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security NICE Framework Standards.

“Walsh’s IT curriculum is developed according to a Tradecraft model, with labs, assignments and coursework built to connect the dots and enable the critical thinking skills employers are looking for,” said Dave Schippers, DSc, CISSP, chair and assistant professor, IT/Decision Sciences.

Walsh was an early adopter of online education, offering its first online course in 1998. The MSIT has also been ranked one of the Best Online Programs for a Master’s in Network Security and one of the Best Online Cybersecurity Master’s Degree Programs.
