Tanner Friedman Honored with 2019 International Hermes Creative Awards

Farmington Hills, Mich. (April 24, 2019) – The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) has awarded Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications two international 2019 Hermes Creative Awards for its successful communications campaigns. The team earned a strategic program platinum award and a video gold award in their respective categories.

Based on the evaluation of AMCP judges, Tanner Friedman’s entries earned the following awards:

  • Platinum – Gleaners Community Food Bank collaborative campaign supporting Gleaners’ urgent need for volunteers over the winter
  • Gold – Realcomp Super REALTOR® video, encouraging Realcomp subscribers to adopt new lock box technology

The Hermes Creative Awards honors communications work in more than two hundred categories, distributed under the headings: Print Media, Public Relations/Communications and Electronic/ Social/Interactive Media. In addition to strategic tactics like advertising, publications, websites and videos, categories also include strategic campaigns and media placements.

Consisting of several thousand creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations, the AMCP administers and judges the Hermes Creative Awards and has reviewed more than 200,000 entries from over 100 countries since its formation in 1994.

Tanner Friedman welcomes Central Michigan University student for summer internship program

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Central Michigan University (CMU) student Jacqueline Coleman has joined Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications for the firm’s summer internship program.

Coleman will be working closely with the Tanner Friedman team to gain hands-on experience throughout the summer. She will be assisting with client communications, media relations and facilitating communication on behalf of clients across multiple platforms.

This past year, Coleman served as the president of PR Central, CMU’s student-run public relations agency. She managed more than 25 members and numerous clients in the mid-Michigan region. In addition, Coleman has previous marketing and public relations experience at CMU Campus Dining and is an active member of CMU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

Coleman will be graduating in December 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Public Relations and a dual minor in Leadership and Media Design, Production and Technology. She grew up in Marysville, Mich. and is a current resident of New Baltimore, Mich.

Central Michigan University students join Tanner Friedman team for summer internship

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., — Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications is hosting two seniors from Central Michigan University, Scott Stewart and Chelsea Komblevicz, for a summer internship. Both interns are pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Integrative Public Relations at CMU.

Stewart and Komblevicz are receiving hands-on experience working directly with the Tanner Friedman team. Both will be assisting in client communications, drafting press releases, constructing media pitches and facilitating communication across multiple platforms.

Stewart is the newly elected president of the Public Relations Student Society of America chapter at CMU. He is also the public relations co-chair of the Alternative Breaks program at the university, which coordinates week-long service learning breaks throughout the country.

Komblevicz’s previous experience includes being an Executive Assistant at PR Central, a student-operated public relations firm on CMU’s campus, and being a public relations specialist for Central Michigan Life, the student-operated newspaper.

Stewart and Komblevicz both grew up in the metro Detroit area. Stewart is a resident of Troy and Komblevicz is a resident of Woodhaven.

Tanner Friedman selected as PR partner by Top of the Mound Productions, Inc.

Top of The Mound Productions, Inc. has selected Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications to provide communications, marketing and promotional support to its nonprofit initiatives includingthe U.S. Military All Stars Baseball Team and the upcoming “Showdown in Motown,” in order to raise awareness and funds for military charities throughout Metro Detroit.

The U.S. Military All Stars is a baseball team comprised of military members, to raise funds for the men and women in the armed forces. The “Showdown in Motown” event is an evening of storytelling, dining and nostalgia featuring Detroit Tigers players from the 1968 and 1984 World Series team. The event is designed to raise funds and awareness for the U.S. Military All Stars, Vets Returning Home and Operation Injured Soldiers charities.

Tanner Friedman hires Lexi Cerilli

Tanner Friedman Strategic Communications has hired Lexi Cerilli as assistant account coordinator.

In this role, Cerilli will support the Tanner Friedman team and firm clients in all areas of traditional and social media initiatives, utilizing a wide range of marketing and communications platforms.

Prior to joining the agency, Cerilli interned at Mid-Michigan Big Brothers Big Sisters where she assisted and coordinated events, developed promotional materials and managed social media accounts.

A previous Tanner Friedman intern, Cerilli graduated Cum Laude from Central Michigan University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in integrative public relations and a minor in marketing.
