Walsh Hosts Virtual Master’s in IT Info Sessions

TROY, Mich., July 24, 2020 — Walsh will host informational webinars about graduate technology programs on July 28 from 12-1 p.m. and Aug. 5 from 6-7 p.m. Sessions will include an informational overview of the Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) and the Master of Science in Information Technology Leadership (MSITL) and a Q&A session with IT/Decision Sciences chair Dave Schippers, Sc.D., and professor Terri Richards, Ph.D.

Advanced registration is recommended.

The MSIT was named one of 2020’s Best Online Cybersecurity Master’s Degree Programs by Student Training in Education and Public Service (STEPS) and recently ranked at no. 2 on the list of Top 20 Master’s in Information Technology by CyberSecurityMastersDegree.org. Walsh Hosts Virtual Admissions Events for Prospective Students

TROY, Mich., July 7, 2020 — Walsh will host virtual, interactive information sessions for prospective students on several dates between July and November. Admissions and academic advisors will be available virtually or by phone to answer questions, help students select a degree path based on career goals and walk prospective students through the transfer and application processes. Advanced registration is recommended for all events.

Waiver Wednesdays are every Wednesday in August and September from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Students can meet with an admissions or academic advisor and application fees will be waived.

Transfer Student Information Sessions provide an overview of Walsh’s easy transfer process, including how to transfer up to 91 credits toward a bachelor’s degree (July 14, Aug. 6, Sep. 9, Oct. 8 and Nov. 13).

In March, Walsh transitioned all exams, courses and student services to 100% remote delivery, which has continued during the spring and summer semesters. This fall, students will have flexibility to choose to attend classes on ground, online or a hybrid option combining online and on-ground attendance. Walsh is following federal and state guidelines to ensure students can continue their education safely and without interruption.

Walsh Hosts Virtual Events for Transfer and Graduate Students

TROY, Mich., May 11, 2020 — Walsh will host virtual, interactive information sessions and drop-in open houses for transfer and graduate students throughout May and June. Admissions and academic advisors will be available virtually or by phone to answer questions, help students select a program path based on careers goals and start the application process. Advanced registration is recommended for all events.

Graduate Open Houses will take place Friday, May 22 between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Tuesday, June 9 between 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

FastTrack: How to earn two degrees in five years (May 19, May 28 or June 11)

Financial Aid: Scholarships, how to apply for financial aid and save on tuition (May 21 and June 9)

Transferring to Walsh: How to transfer up to 90 credits toward a bachelor’s degree (May 28, June 19 or July 14)

In March, Walsh transitioned all exams, courses and student services to 100% remote delivery in less than a week in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing students to continue their education without interruption to class or exam schedules.
