The Detroit Pistons & Being That Girl Honors 23 Outstanding Women During March

Native Detroiter and International Award Winning Business Woman Natasha Lee, founder of Being That Girl and Make Your Dreams Come True, collaborates with the Detroit Pistons to honor women for Women’s History Month and help youth organizations fundraise.

In 2021 were recognized alongside Oprah Winfrey as one of the Top 500 Global Influencers in the world. Being That Girl supports men and women from Youth to adulthood while empowering them through fashion, media outlets, and education. Being That Girl keeps women year around in unique ways.

This year Natasha has teamed up with the Detroit Pistons for an inspired-filled day to celebrate the outstanding women and dignitaries that serve Detroit Metro Communities. Dignitaries such as NASA Hidden Figure Sharon McDougle, responsible for suiting the astronauts for space, and Sandra Epps, curator of the Biggest Doll Show in the United States, will help present the honorees with their awards. In 2019, Natasha held a Suprise That Girl award ceremony honoring Nasa Hidden Figure Sharon McDougle, responsible for suiting most astronauts for space. Then, partnering with the City of Detroit City Council, The Duphree Group, the Black Caucus, and many more.

This day spent with the Detroit Pistons will begin at 11:30 am to 9:00 pm, serving as Being That Girl’s biggest celebration since the founding of Being That Girl in 2018, honoring 23 women and helping youth-focused small businesses and nonprofit organizations raise money because Natasha is committed to assisting the Youth in evolving.

Being That Girl and The Detroit Pistons also facilitate the first annual Motorcity Community Basketball Tournament and Fundraiser. Honorees include President Mary Sheffield, The Honorable Tenisha Yancey, Dr. Jan Cardwell, and Courtney Ebinoque, among the 23 Honorees and 23 Presenters.

During the Primetime Show during the Detroit Pistons x Milwaukee Bucks Game, the Detroit Pistons will honor the women for their outstanding achievements in recognition of Women’s History Month.

The Community Basketball Tournament and fundraising details can be found at iam-thatgirl.com. This event was created for Youth to enjoy during Spring Break and as a field trip.

Connecting students to invaluable resources, small businesses, entrepreneurs, influencers, professionals, and mental health organizations is crucial, considering the chaos in the world. We are thrilled to be the facilitators of this event.
