Movers and shakers from all around the state have gathered on Mackinac Island to discuss issues like entrepreneurship, education and the importance of investing in the state’s future.

“It’s what’s so important in our state today,” said the COO of Detroit Regional Chamber Tammy Carnrike. “They’re all the issues that everyone is talking about.”

This year’s Mackinac Policy Conference has seen a huge amount of visitors selling out most hotels and cottages on the island.

Carnrike said that it’s important that we identify what sectors we need to invest in to make sure Michigan continues to grow.

The conference is live streaming to encourage transparency and call to action voters and legislators to continue working on these issues even after the conference has ended.
