The Capstone Fair provides an opportunity for graduating students to present their final research projects which demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained through their academic program.

Students will demonstrate their mastery of a variety of technology and cybersecurity subjects with their Capstone projects. A partial list of the Capstone projects to be presented include: a prototype for a surgical “black box” device; research and recommendations on ways to improve technology focused service and support; plan for security awareness education in the 5-12 education environment and in health care settings; recommendations for the management of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) efforts and unified communications strategies; application of COBIT governance to a software procurement processes; and a redesign of a visualization program for managing satellite delivery of services.

“Walsh offers strong academic programs for students in information technology fields. The Capstone Fair provides a forum for students to show their expertise and knowledge,” said Barbara Ciaramitaro, Ph.D., professor, Information Technology, Walsh College. “The projects at the Fair demonstrate the application of their knowledge and skills to real world problems.”
