Walsh College Hosts “The MBA Experience” Event at its Troy Campus on August 4

Walsh College will present “The MBA Experience,” an engaging, insightful presentation detailing the courses and learning approaches contained in its high-quality, highly regarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015, in the Finance Lab at its Troy Campus, 3838 Livernois. Refreshments will be served.

The event is free but registration is required at, no later than Monday, August 3.

More than 3,000 graduates have received their MBA from Walsh since the program’s inception in 1998. A Walsh MBA prepares graduates for positions in mid- to upper-level management by providing interdisciplinary business studies and an enterprise-wide approach.

The Walsh MBA degree also emphasizes business communication skills now demanded by employers, helping graduates explain concepts and share knowledge more concisely.

“A Walsh MBA will enhance your ability to incorporate strategic decision-making and systematic approaches in solving complex problems,” said Scott Wyckoff, admissions and academic advisor, Walsh College. “Students will develop a framework for thinking and decision-making in today’s fast-paced, business environment.”

Wyckoff noted that proven business leaders who are experienced practitioners in their fields teach courses in the Walsh MBA Program. “This approach bridges the gap between real-world practices and the classroom experience,” he said.

“The MBA Experience employs interactive discussion topics to stimulate critical thinking and creative solutions,” Wyckoff added. “For example: Imagine a scenario where you are in a meeting with upper-management of the company where you are employed. They just shared that the engineers have patented a multiple-application battery technology. It can hold its charge up to six months under heavy usage. It is durable, biodegradable, and friendly to the environment. Upper-management asks the question, ‘What should they do with it?’” The Walsh MBA Experience demonstrates how an MBA graduate will be able to answer that question.

The Walsh MBA program consists of 15 courses for 42 credits, with courses offered in a hybrid format, combining in-person classroom instruction with online learning. Select courses require on-campus attendance while others are available entirely online.

Registration for the Fall 2015 semester begins Monday, August 10, and continues through Tuesday, September 29. Classes begin on Wednesday, September 23.
