Walsh College introduces dual Master of Accountancy/MBA for fall 2021 semester

TROY, Mich., July 6, 2021 — Walsh College is introducing a dual Master of Accountancy/Master of Business Administration (MAC/MBA) program to provide Master of Accountancy students without an undergraduate degree in business the 24 hours of general business credits required to sit for the CPA exam. Applications to the MAC/MBA are being accepted and the program will be available for the fall semester beginning Sept. 22, 2021.

“Accountants who earn a graduate accounting degree and an MBA, along with passing the CPA exam typically have a wide range of in-demand career options. Walsh’s dual MAC/MBA prepares graduates with both a mastery of accounting concepts and financial analysis and the comprehensive business knowledge needed to succeed in demanding roles such as C-suite positions or roles with the FBI or other government agencies,” said John Black, DBA, CPA, CMA, CIA, chair and associate professor of accounting.

The MAC/MBA can be taken in a variety of formats for maximum flexibility including 100% online, on ground or a combination of on ground and remote learning. The college recently finished installation of several connected classrooms which use state-of-the-art technology to allow faculty, on ground and remote students to interact in classes in real time.
