Walsh College Offers Master of Science in Taxation Open House Nov. 15

Walsh College will hold an open house for students interested in pursuing a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Troy campus (3838 Livernois).

The Walsh College MST program is among the most well respected in the nation for its preparation of tax professionals. It “has a legacy in the Detroit tax community that is unmatched by any other MST program,” said Richard Davidson, J.D., CPA vice chair, Tax and Business Law department.

Walsh is also home to the Walsh College tax library, one of the finest tax research libraries in Michigan, with more than 5,000 tax titles and almost 3,000 tax serials for research.

“A Walsh MST says to potential employers that you are committed to tax as a career choice, so much so that you are willing to spend the time and effort to enhance your skills,” said Davidson.

At this open house, students will have the opportunity to:

> Meet with an advisor to learn about the MST program
> Learn more about program requirements
> Discuss transfer options

Currently enrolled students in the College’s Bachelor of Accountancy or Master of Accountancy program will also have the opportunity to meet with an advisor to discuss how credits already earned may be used toward MST program requirements.

Attendees will also be able to take a tour of the new campus, including the tax library. Faculty and financial aid advisors will also be available to answer questions.
