Wells Fargo Advisors welcomed as a “Bread Winner” for Food Gatherers

ANN ARBOR, MI – Food Gatherers is happy to announce assistance from the Weissman, Eppler, Showich Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC. The group has joined Food Gatherers’ Bread Winner program, the non-profit food bank’s new model for corporate support. The program was given its name because, “Bread is a staple item in any pantry, and in the same way, our corporate partners are a stable, annual source of giving and volunteerism for our food rescue and food bank program,” said Mary Schlitt, Chief Development Officer at Food Gatherers.

To become a Bread Winner, companies make a $15,000 annual commitment to Food Gatherers, the equivalent of 45,000 meals for Washtenaw County residents struggling with hunger. Bread Winners receive distinguished recognition at Food Gatherers’ warehouse which welcomes more than 15,000 visitors every year. They are also acknowledged in Food Gatherers’ marketing strategies throughout the year, including materials for their major events like the signature community picnic, Grillin’ for Food Gatherers, that takes place every June. As part of their Bread Winner commitment, Wells Fargo Advisors is a proud “Batty Benefactor” for Vampires’ Ball, Food Gatherers’ upcoming Halloween benefit on October 29th at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms.

“Our team is deeply committed to being active members of the Ann Arbor and surrounding community,” said Neil Weissman, Managing Director – Investments, Weissman Eppler Showich Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. “We value the important need Food Gatherers fills in our community and are dedicated to helping support their mission through our Bread Winner sponsorship,” he added.
