Whole Foods’ Walter Robb and Panel to Discuss Building a Sustainable Food Economy

On Wednesday, Whole Foods Co-CEO Walter Robb will kick off “Supply and Demand: Building a Sustainable Food Economy” focused on the need for business to be good corporate citizens by driving social and economic change to increase Michigan’s and the nation’s global competitiveness based on the overarching ethos of “doing well by doing good.” This session is sponsored by Beaumont Health.

Following Robb’s remarks, a he will join a panel including Craig Edsill, president of Clemens Food Group; Debbie Stabenow, Senator in the U.S. Senate; and Dave Zilko, vice chairman of Garden Fresh Gourmet. These experts will discuss the growing impact of the food economy to Michigan’s overall economy, the increased international demand for agriculture exports and strategies for success. This session will be moderated by Chuck Stokes, editorial and public affairs director at WXYZ-TV 7.
