The Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation generously invests in partners like Leadership Detroit that provide essential resources, peer networks, and cultivate young professionals.
Max M. Fisher transformed his family’s Detroit oil company into one of the Midwest’s largest gas station chains before selling it and chairing the company for several years. In retirement, he directed his energy and resources toward large‑scale philanthropy, emerging as a central figure in Jewish communal leadership in the Region and beyond. He leaves behind a legacy of entrepreneurship and a firm commitment to strengthening communities.
