Hotel Accommodations

Registration for the 2026 Mackinac Policy Conference is now open. Over the last year, Detroit Regional Chamber leaders met multiple times with Mackinac Island hotel owners, the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau, and the Mayor of Mackinac Island to identify real process changes to increase access to hotel rooms for the 2026 Conference. Below is a list of preferred lodging partners who the Chamber has worked with to provide accommodations for Conference attendees.

Important Details

  • To reserve a hotel room, individuals must first register for the 2026 Conference. After registering, a confirmation email with a Conference hotel code will be sent to the email you used to register with. Save the confirmation email. To secure a hotel room with any of the Island hotels, registered individuals must provide their hotel code at the time of booking.
  • 2025 Conference attendees will have the opportunity to book their 2026 Conference accommodations while on Island in May 2025.
  • On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Island hotels will begin taking room reservations from anyone who is registered for the 2026 Conference.
  • A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a room reservation. While all hotels will require the Conference Hotel Code, their booking processes and cancellation policies may vary. Be sure to review and understand the policies of your preferred hotel before completing your booking.

If you typically receive access to a Grand Hotel room through the Chamber, the Chamber will reach out to you directly via email on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, with the details you need to secure your reservation.

Other Accommodations

The Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau is tracking Island hotel availability for the 2026 Conference. If you do not currently have a hotel reservation, please consider the following options:

  • Many Island hotels have waitlists. Visit the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau website to view a list of available hotels and add yourself to multiple waitlists.
  • Hotels are available in Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. The Chamber will run later ferries as it has in prior years via Mackinac City.
  • The Chamber established its own waitlist because it reserves rooms for speakers, sponsors, select government officials, staff, vendors, and other guests critical to the Conference. Those that are not needed for these groups are made available to registered attendees closer to the Conference. If you are registered for the 2026 Conference and have a hard time finding a hotel room, join the Chamber’s hotel waitlist using your hotel code, which can be found in the registration confirmation email received from “event@detroitchamber.com”.

Note: The Chamber manages room access for Grand Hotel. If you typically receive access to a Grand Hotel room through the Chamber, the Chamber will reach out on Jan. 15, 2026 to provide information on how to secure your reservation.
