All press conferences held at Grand Hotel during the Mackinac Policy Conference must be approved by the Detroit Regional Chamber. Due to limited space and time slots available, the Chamber can only approve a limited number of applications each year.
Press conferences to announce political candidacy or support for a candidate running for office are not permitted. Press conferences for organizations where current candidates for a political office work in a function independent of their campaign may be considered.
If you are approved to host a press conference, any speakers or support staff will be required to register for the Conference at the full attendee rate. Staff and speakers do not qualify for media credentials. No exceptions will be given. See media credential requirements for more details.
Please note, only press conferences approved by the Detroit Regional Chamber via the formal application process will be supported. Press conferences not approved and staged by the Detroit Regional Chamber are not permitted and will be shut down by security.
Upon submitting this form, your request will go into the Detroit Regional Chamber’s formal review process. All press conference requests must be submitted by April 30, 2026, to be considered.
Please note, the press conference schedule for the 2026 Mackinac Policy Conference will not be confirmed until mid-May 2026.
